Every search on 5WordLetters runs entirely in your browser — there are no server round-trips, which is why results appear instantly. Our curated dictionary is bundled with the page and searched in milliseconds using a filtered lookup algorithm. You get back every valid word that matches your criteria, sorted alphabetically or by Scrabble score.

The three-field filter system maps directly onto the most common word game clue types:

• Position Known — letters in exact positions (Wordle green tiles)
• Position Unknown — letters present but misplaced (Wordle yellow tiles)
• Exclude — letters definitely absent (Wordle grey tiles)

Scrabble point values are calculated automatically for every result using standard tile scores (A=1, B=3, C=3 … Z=10) without board multipliers, giving you a baseline score to compare plays. Toggle Sort High→Low in the results panel to rank your matches by Scrabble value and spot your best play in seconds.

5WordLetters's dictionary is a curated list of common English words from 3 to 7 letters, drawn from words accepted in standard Scrabble word lists (TWL and SOWPODS). It favors recognizable everyday words, which is the pool Wordle answers come from. Every word in our results is:

• A valid play in official Scrabble (TWL / SOWPODS)
• Compatible with Words with Friends and most other standard dictionaries
• Assigned an accurate Scrabble base score
